sql server & xml

Thanks for responding! It is a web application. I am a novice in all this so please bear with me. When I first started the project, I had Xp home and through reading I found out that IIS was not included in that version of windows Xp, hence my difficulty in being able to directly connect the treeview with the database via C# code.

I now run Win 7 home and understand that IIS is included however the ODBC is not part of the features. If getting the xml file to dynamically update from the database and the treeview to reflect these changes prove to be impossible can I be able to directly connect the treeview to the specific tables in the database responsible for populating it without the ODBC?

The most important part of the project is that the treeview should reflect any changes made in the database.

Please not that I am aware of the 'For xml auto' statement to use in my sql code to generate the xml file and xsl to transform how the data is presented in the tree.

My major concern is getting the treeview to update dynamically. Any suggestions, advice, books and site recomendations you may have will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your interest and for the link I will have a look at it.

Regards,
Millette
